When to book a follow-up: signs your body is telling you
Part three of Move Well — how to know it’s time to check in again, and what progress can look like between visits.
1 min read
Follow-ups aren’t only for crises. They’re how we adjust load, technique, and goals as you change.
Good reasons to come back
- Plateau or flare — symptoms stall or spike after a period of improvement.
- New activities — you’re returning to sport, work demands shift, or travel is coming up.
- Form check — you want eyes on exercises before increasing difficulty.
Progress you might miss
Sometimes improvement is subtle: sleeping through the night, sitting longer comfortably, or feeling steadier on stairs. Mention those wins — they shape the plan.
| Signal | What it might mean |
|---|---|
| Same pain, better function | Tissues adapting; we may refine dosage |
| Less pain, same function | Great symptom relief; next step is capacity |
